If you want to buy a pair of Ja Morant sneakers on the Nike website, you will have to look harder. The company has taken his shoes off its website, according to TMZ Sports.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise. After another incident in which he was shown brandishing a gun on Instagram, the renowned shoe company decided to do something about it.
Ja Morant signed a multi-million dollar deal with Nike in 2019, but it’s pretty evident he is in danger of losing his contract with them.
Lucky for Morant, Nike hasn’t erased his sneakers. A new mismatched ‘Hunger’ colorway is scheduled to be released on May 25 and still appears in the “Upcoming” section of Nike’s SNKRS app.
So Morant still has a chance to salvage his image, but the question remains, will he?
The NBA is expected to suspend the Memphis Grizzlies star. Hopefully, Morant will take the time to seek help and fix himself while stopped.
Morant is a famous player and is one of the new faces of the NBA that the league would like to promote.
But either he doesn’t get that, or he doesn’t care. The sad part is there doesn’t seem to be anyone in Morant’s life right now to tell him he is screwing up big time, but at this point, it may not matter to him.
