It’s always an exciting time for fans when teams go through a rebrand. However, the results are always well received after a rebrand is finished. The NFL’s Tennessee Titans’ recent redesign was one of the few times a rebrand was almost unanimously applauded.
Now, “detectives” on social media think they have the Minnesota Timberwolves’ new logo and primary color scheme ahead of an official announcement.
Zach Cohen, a sports design buff online, shared a video explaining his reasoning for why the Wolves might be moving forward with a rebrand.
Another Twitter user responded to Cohen’s video, claiming that he has friends working at Fanatics and providing details of the rebrand.
“The rebrand will include the old 90’s classic T’Wolves blue and green mixed with the tree trim from the 2000’s era. The logo is Old Shep from the 90’s logo but he’s howling much like the current logo instead of facing forward like the 90’s. Jerseys will include home white with ‘Wolves’ on the chest and away will be the blue and black,” the user tweeted.
Another sleuth believes the NBA Store might have leaked the new logos/ tedesign early and shared a picture of them printed on tees.
If these internet sleuths are correct, it’s great to see Minnesota joining the Titans in an embrace of franchise history.
