Apparently, Lonzo Ball recently turned into Ray Allen out of nowhere.

The rookie point guard’s shooting has been heavily criticized over the last several months (both the eye test and numbers backed it up), but lately he’s scorching hot from behind the arc.

Ball made 6-of-10 threes on Saturday night, with three of those coming in the final three minutes of the Lakers’ 116-112 over the Spurs in San Antonio. He also had 11 assists and seven rebounds.

Ball is now 11-of-16 on three-pointers over the last three games, and 14-of-22 over his last four games. His improved shooting has played a huge part in the Lakers’ current five-game winning streak. The Lakers have even won the last eight games Ball has played.

And it’s easy to forget that Ball — the second overall pick of the 2017 draft — is still just 20 years old.
