The Los Angeles Lakers were swept in four games by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Semifinals. Normally, Lakers fans would be lamenting what could have been had superstar guard Luka Doncic been healthy,

However, this offseason will be dominated by LeBron James and what’s next for his career. James could return to Los Angeles, land with another franchise, or ultimately, retire. After the Lakers’ season came to an end, James talked about the impending decision.

LeBron James says his decision will come down to “being in love with the process” and not the outcome of winning games, per (Law Murray). LeBron plans to discuss his options with Savannah, Zhuri, and Bryce,” reported Legion Hoops on X.

Fans reacted to the news that James is closer than he’s ever been to serioulsy retiring on social media.

“The fact that his next step involves family conversations shows this isn’t just basketball anymore, it’s life-stage decision-making,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Bron loves the dramatics. He knows exactly what he’s gonna do,” someone else added.

“Bryce is in college, what does he have to do with the decision? Also LeBron is an egomaniac he’s not leaving the NBA,” another fan added.

It’ll be fascinating to see what James ultimately decides.
