The Los Angeles Lakers ended their season unceremoniously, getting swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals. The Lakers now turn its focus to next season, and building a championship-contending roster.

However, first the franchise will have to wait to see what LeBron James decides is next for him. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer can retire, return to Los Angeles, or join a new franchise. A report on Tuesday even indicates that James is willing to make a major sacrifice to join the right scenario.

Fans reacted ot Fischer’s shocking report on social media.

“If Paul George is making max than the league isn’t serious anyway and just tax washing so give lebron the max,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“If there’s one thing Lebron never has and never will do, it’s leave money on the table. I will believe this s**t when I see the confirmed contract details,” someone else added.

“Back in the day, people took those deals. This generation of players wants the maximum amount of money,” another person added.

It’ll be interesting to see what James ultimately decides is best for him and in his family, but if Fischer’s reporting is accurate, this could set up for a legendary return to the Northeast Ohio…
