The Brooklyn Nets are a mess. On Tuesday alone, the team not only parted ways with head coach Steve Nash but also seem to be targeting suspended head coach Ime Udoka to replace him. Now, they’ve made a decision regarding the media availability of point guard Kyrie Irving, who we last saw preside over a tumultuous press conference over the weekend and has essentially been muzzled by the team.
“Sean Marks says Kyrie Irving won’t do media tonight,” tweeted CBS Sports NBA writer James Herbert. Herbert said the reason was, “We don’t want to cause more fuss right now. Let’s let him simmer down.”
It’s not hard to really imagine weaker moves made by those around the Nets and Kyrie right now. The sheer amount of insanity regarding this situation continues to swell by the day. Kyrie’s antisemitic comments have irritated many, including those in the sports media landscape. And with all eyes on them, the NBA included, nobody seems to be making the right decisions here.
The NBA was roasted and even char-broiled in some cases following their weak response to Kyrie and his antisemitic comments. Now, the NBA world is teeing off on the Nets and General Manager Sean Marks in the wake of this development:
He’s 30 years old, not in third grade. This organization is rotten. https://t.co/hpoPLmQVqF
