There are very few professional athletes as well respected as LeBron James, who has been a model athlete and celebrity both on and off the court for the entirety of his professional career. However, there are still those who want to misappropriate both James’ name and his legacy.
One of these people, unfortunately, happens to be former MLB star John Rocker, who has definitely fallen on hard times, judging by the state of things. Rocker was recently caught making racist statements by a door camera, as noted by a Redditor, who shared video footage of the incident.
Rocker has been going to Somali-owned daycares to “investigate” whether or not the childcare facilities are committing fraud.
As the redditor notes, Rocker has zero affiliation with the Ohio Department of Children and Youth or the Department of Job and Family Services, which are the only state entities with the authority to conduct such an investigation.
To make matters worse, the doorbell cam captures Rocker asking if the door is “bulletproof,” an insanely racist remark. Unfortunately, Rocker likely won’t mind that the footage is circulating online, as he has proven more than willing to spread his disgusting rhetoric on his own happily.
In an Instagram post, Rocker is holding a brown baby doll (literally a toy) with the caption, “I’ve been to dozens of daycares today and none of them are willing to enroll my son LeBron.”
It’s frankly embarassing and sad to see what’s become of a once noteworthy athlete. Hopefully, in time, Rocker will find the peace and healing he clearly needs in his life.
