Steph Curry broke the NBA record for 3-pointers made tonight at Madison Square Garden, but the more impactful NBA news breaking has all been much less fun.
While Steph was taking the crown that’s rightfully his, other stars around the league were entering health and safety protocols.
James Harden was the first big name of the night:
That meant the Nets were down to 8 players:
They’re still actually playing (and currently beating) the Raptors tonight, despite being down to a skeleton crew.
Later in the evening, word came that Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss tomorrow’s game after also entering the protocol:
Then his Milwaukee teammate Wes Matthews joined him:
So, this is not a good trend at all. The NBA this week postponed the first games of the season, and given the way things are trending, it feels like at a minimum more are going to follow. And at a maximum, well, let’s not think about that yet.
