The Golden State Warriors narrowly missed the playoffs this season after falling to the Phoenix Suns in the NBA play-in tournament. However, Warriors forward Draymond Green has made his presence felt throughout the postseason both through his podcast, The Draymond Green Show, and also with his appearances on the Inside the NBA set.
However, over the weekend, Green took to social media with his trademark fiery personality and left NBA fans stunned. Draymond has been critical of the New York Knicks in the past and has a somewhat contentious relationship with the Knicks’ fanbase.
On Saturday, after New York took a 3-0 series lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers, Knicks fan and social media personality Hana Hoops taunted Green on X, posting “COME OUTSIDE B***H @Money23Green.”
Green was quick to fire back.
“Watch your mouth before I crush those dirty a** kids in your banner,” Green responded in a post of his own, referring to two young children in Hana’s profile header.
Fans on social media were in disbelief over Green’s response.
“Ayo you hacked or something?” Hana wondered.
“Draymond Green just sent this to a member of Knicks Twitter This is an ACTIVE, big-name NBA player Mitch Robinson got fined for posting a singing AI rabbit. What will the NBA do about this?” one fan wondered.
“I actually have tears running down my face, is he hacked?” someone else wrote.
As of Monday afternoon, the post is still up, though Green has yet to comment on it publicly.
