A big part of Draymond Green’s value to the Golden State Warriors is in his ability to distribute the ball to scorers. However, one pass that he made on Sunday had everyone wondering what in the world he was thinking.

During the third quarter of Golden State’s game against the Toronto Raptors, the “new media” mogul took a pass from Jordon Poole under the basket. Rather than go up with it, he decided to spin and dish it to a wing that was open to hit a three-pointer. Only problem? There was no wing and Green’s pass went to no one.

It looked like Green has spotted a teammate before the pass who he expected to occupy that space. However, it didn’t happen and Draymond ended up giving away some pretty easy points in a very hilarious way. Naturally, the NBA world had a field day with Green’s errant pass, with some pointing out that perhaps he’d gotten so used to Steph Curry instinctively being open that he forgot the superstar wasn’t on the court.

“This is the basketball equivalent of ‘pouring one out for Steph,'” wrote Bucket List Fans.

“Not the first guy to look for a 3-point shooter on the Raptors bench and not find one,” wrote John Hollinger.

Hey, to be fair, the Warriors won and Green had a good game, scoring 17 points and adding nine rebounds and five assists. He even made three-pointers, which tells you that one bad pass wasn’t going to ruin his night.
