Future Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul has done just about everything there is to do over the course of his illustrious 20 year NBA career. That is, expect for winning an NBA championship, which he will try to do in his 21st season in the league on a team that he is quite familiar with.
In what will likely be his final season in the NBA, Paul will be returning to a team he starred on for six years. According to ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania, Paul agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, joining Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, and newly-signed Clippers guard Bradley Beal.
Paul is far from the player he once was in his first stint with the Clippers where he was largely the star of the show from 2011 to 2017.
But Paul could at the very least be a reliable piece off the bench for the Clippers this coming season, a role he served in quite nicely for the San Antonio Spurs this past season, averaging 8.8 points while shooting 37 percent from the three point line this past season.
Naturally, countless basketball fans took notice of this news and were quite excited to hear that Paul will be returning to Los Angeles for the final chapter of his career.
On paper, the Clippers certainly have a roster that could very well contend in the Western Conference if all goes to plan. So we could certainly see Paul put a stamp on his career by winning his first NBA championship in what is expected to be his final NBA season.
