Fans may not have seen DeMar DeRozan’s daughter Diar on Wednesday night, but they definitely heard her in the Chicago Bulls’ NBA Play-In game against the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena.
Every time a Raptor went to the free-throw line, Diar let out a blood-curdling scream just as he released the ball.
As the game — and screams — progressed and someone finally identified the source as DeRozan’s daughter, it became a major part of the game’s storyline.

The story became even bigger as the Raptors went on to miss exactly half of their 36 free throws.

Those missed shots proved the difference as the Bulls hung on to win, 109-105, ending Toronto’s season. Chicago will now play the Miami Heat on Friday night with the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs at stake.
Diar DeRozan’s dad fared pretty well, scoring 23 points against his old team.
