The Los Angeles Lakers are up 3-1 in their first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets. As great as the series is going for the Lakers, there’s been an enormously interesting subplot.
In each game of the series, superstar forward LeBron James has watched his son Bronny take the floor as well. In Game 3, LeBron assisted on an alley oop to his son and on another possession, he screened Bronny open, allowing him to nail a three.
In fact, the Lakers won the game by four points, and Bronny posted a +/- of +4 in his minutes. Now an incredibly shocking statistic has come to light.
Bronny has passed arguably the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan, in playoff points scored before the age of 22.
Fans reacted to the incredible stat on social media.
“I’m not saying Bronny will be better than Michael Jordan. I’m just saying it’s too early to rule out Bronny being better than Michael Jordan,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Makes you think,” another fan added.
“Technically if he win a ring at 21 he already on a better trajectory at becoming the GOAT,” someone else wrote.
Bronny has a long way to go before he is considered a better player than Michael or his father, but he’s clearly off to a great start.
