Earlier this year, the Los Angeles Lakers decided to select Bronny James in the second round of the NBA Draft. But during the preseason, he has certainly not performed well.
According to a report from Sporting News, the son of LeBron James has the worst plus/minus number of any of the nearly 500 players that has played in the NBA preseason so far this year.
“Through three preseason games, Bronny James has the worst plus/minus of all 494 players to log exhibition minutes thus far,” Sporting News said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
Obviously, this is some pretty terrible news for Bronny James, especially considering all of the criticism he has received from fans and media following the draft. And it led to a lot of reactions on social media.
“I’m no longer a Lakers fan until LeBron James and Bronny James both leave the team…” one fan wrote on X.
“Bronny James will go down as the worst NBA player of all time,” another fan wrote.
“Has Bronny James EARNED his position in the top basketball league in the world? If so, what evidence backs that up?” a fan asked.
“At some point Lebron has to look at himself and know that Bronny isn’t an NBA player…. Nothing on tape weather in high school or college suggests anything else I don’t care about the small sample size,” another fan added.
“Is there a chance he might get cut from Lakers G-league team?” one fan asked.
Obviously, things are not working out well for Bronny so far. We’ll have to see if he can improve.
