The NBA announced Thursday that the 2027 All-Star Game will be held at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, the home of the Phoenix Suns.
This will mark the first time Phoenix has hosted the All-Star Game since 2009.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver was in Phoenix Thursday to make the announcement.
“Our NBA All-Star festivities in 2027 will showcase Phoenix’s love of everything basketball. We couldn’t be more excited to work with [Suns owner] Mat Ishbia and the entire Suns organization for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration of our sport,” Silver said.
The league also showed a video narrated by Suns legend Steve Nash to go along with the announcement, which can be seen below.
Ishiba also gave a brief statement about what an honor it is to bring the All-Star Game to Phoenix, saying, “Phoenix is the ultimate basketball destination and we are excited for fans from around the world to experience our amazing city,” said Ishbia. “We will provide an NBA All-Star Weekend unlike any other, showcasing the passion of our fans, our city, and everything that we’re building here. Thank you to the NBA and the entire Phoenix community for rallying together to bring this marquee event to Phoenix and show the world what we are all about.”
The game will take place on February 21, 2027.
