New York Yankees star Aaron Judge has been a mainstay at Yankee Stadium for quite some time now. His dog, Gus Judge made his MLB debut alongside his owner before Wednesday’s matchup with the Yankees.
Judge is a pretty massive human being, standing at six-foot-seven and weighing around 280 pounds. In comparison, he completely dwarfs his dog who looks miniature in comparison.
Footage of Judge warming up on Wednesday with his dog emerged on YES Network’s broadcast of Thursday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles. The video showed Judge and his dog doing a number of activities together, including playing with a tennis ball and jogging in the outfield.
This video has gone viral on social media. Many fans took to Twitter to share their love for Judge’s adorable pup.
It’s definitely an unconventional warmup method for the reigning MVP, but it’s hard to argue with his results on the field recently. Judge has been on an absolute tear in the month of May, hitting .353 with eight home runs and 19 RBI. He is currently tied for the American League lead for home runs on the season with Texas Rangers star Adolis Garcia.
This has helped the Yankees pull themselves up from the bottom of the AL East, currently sitting in third place behind the Baltimore Orioles and the Tampa Bay Rays.
