Tuesday night’s matchup between the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals was not terribly entertaining as the Cardinals notched a 13-3 blowout victory over their division rivals. As a result, it looks like the Wrigley Field fans got a little too rowdy in the outfield bleachers.
In a video shared by Crawly’s Cubs Kingdom on Twitter, a Wrigley Field usher walks up to what appears to be an altercation in the left field outfield stands. As the usher tries to break up the scuffle and pull a fan away from the group, the fan is kicked in the stomach and falls backward down several rows of bleachers.
The man, wearing an Anthony Rizzo jersey, fell back-first down the bleachers and his body did a complete rotation before he came to a stop at least four rows down. Thankfully, he appeared to be uninjured following the brief tumble.
While we don’t see what transpired before this video begins, it’s apparent that some sort of fight took place. In the video, a man is seen with an open gash above his eye while being restrained by another man.
It does look like the ushers eventually got the situation under control. Unfortunately, it wasn’t before a man fell down several rows of bleachers.
