The Chicago Cubs are ready to open postseason play as the World Series favorite when they take on the San Francisco Giants in the National League Division Series. With the Cubbies back in the playoffs, YouTube artist Johnny Fitz Live is back once again to share some retro-video game Cubs goodness.

Johnny Fitz Live uploaded some fantastic NES-clips doctored especially for Cubs fans last October, and it looks like he is ready to go for another run this season. Our first taste of his work takes its inspiration from Super Mario Bros., as the Cubs-loving Mario squashes Giants-cap-wearing Goombas on his way to Wrigley Field. It’s pretty spot on. Be sure to watch through to the end for the best Easter egg of the bunch.

If you missed any of his videos from last season, here’s his NLCS video featuring Punch-Out…

Even though the Cubs lost to the Mets, Johnny Fitz came through…

And his NLDS video drawing from Duck Hunt…

If the Cubs go on to the NLCS this year, we can’t wait to see what he has cooked up for the Dodgers or Nationals. Some classic games still on the board could include The Legend of Zelda, Contra, and Excitebike, but we don’t need to tell Johnny Fitz Live how to do his job.
