The Toronto Blue Jays are the first team to clinch a spot in the Championship Series of the 2016 MLB postseason after a thrilling 7-6 walk-off victory to sweep the Texas Rangers on Sunday night at Rogers Centre.
While the Jays are known for hitting glorious dingers, they scored the final run thanks to getting it done in the baserunning department. With one out in the bottom of the 10th, Russell Martin hit what looked like it may be an inning-ending double play. But first baseman Mitch Moreland couldn’t handle Rougned Odor’s throw in the dirt,
and Blue Jays superstar Josh Donaldson sprinted all the way from second base to score the series-winning run.
Here’s video of the play that made Rogers Centre be up for grabs:
Fantastic baserunning, and don’t worry, we have the Jays’ homer highlights too.

And Russell Martin hitting a friggin’ laser:
Then after the game, there was Pedro Martinez, Gary Sheffield, and Jimmy Rollins singing “Oh Canada”. It was… interesting.
