Shane Bieber has been terrific in his first two MLB seasons with the Cleveland Indians, and put his talents on display with an All-Star Game performance — striking out the side — that landed him the game’s MVP award.
You’d think the world’s most popular baseball card company would be able to get his name right, but a 2019 Topps Stadium Club card confused Shane Bieber for another Bieber.
Yep, Justin.
The front of the card and back headline have the name correct, at least. But in the “fun facts” section, the card has Shane’s name as Justin. This error did not slip past the Cleveland Indians’ Twitter account.
Maybe this was somebody at Topps having fun instead of making a legitimate error. But hopefully Shane gets more respect in the 2020 editions of Topps baseball cards.
