The San Francisco Giants lost 7-3 to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night at Chase Field, but the game featured two crazy highlights involving the Giants and starting pitcher Carlos Rodón.

Well, the first one was a highly unusual lowlight, in which a frustrated Rodón kicked a baseball bat in the dugout and hit teammate Thairo Estrada in the leg.

So, while that wasn’t a great moment for Rodón and the Giants, he did make an unbelievable play on the mound.

Arizona’s Jake McCarthy hit a groundball that hit Rodón in the foot, then went through his legs, and then went into his glove. What looked like a hit turned into a wacky groundout.

It’s much easier to understand how ridiculous the play was when you see the video.

Bally Sports Arizona color commentator Bob Brenly couldn’t believe it: “You may never see another defensive play like this!

Incredible.

While the Diamondbacks were robbed there, they did get to the All-Star left-hander for five runs in the victory.
