The 2024 MLB New Era Spring Training caps have been released and fans are giving them mixed reactions. (Of course they are.)
According to SportsLogos.net, which got an exclusive about the launch, these hats will be worn specifically during the league’s spring training schedule.
Some of the logos are almost identical to the regular team designs, while others are quite different.
The caps also bear a home plate patch with a palm tree representing the Grapefruit League and a cactus repping the Cactus League.
The construction of the hats is different than previous ones, going from a “trucker-style” mesh to a more fabric back.
From Sports Logos:
In addition to the elimination of the mesh backing, the actual fabric of the crown itself, as well as the logos, are getting a whole new treatment. It’s much easier to show these differences visually …
It appears the colors are more vibrant than the previous ones. The Arizona Diamondbacks design, for instance, shows the teal a bit more:
And who doesn’t love the powder blue from the Kansas City Royals? Ahhh … chef’s kiss:
The same color scheme the Chicago Cubs are embracing:
The Oakland A’s and Tampa Bay Rays are embracing the gold/yellow in their uniforms as well:
What do y’all think?
