After the Yankees’ Todd Frazier singled to lead off the top of the sixth, the Indians had a win expectancy of just 4.3% during Game 2 of the ALDS on Friday night in Cleveland. That was certainly not a situation they expected to find themselves in with superace Corey Kluber on the mound, but Kluber was straight-up bad with six earned runs allowed in 2 2/3 innings pitched.
But in the bottom of the sixth, Indians star shortstop Francisco Lindor cranked a grand slam to make it a one-run game.
And to lead off the bottom of the eighth, Indians trade-deadline acquisition Jay Bruce went oppo taco to tie the game 8-8:
The game went into extras, and finally in the bottom of the 13th, Cleveland’s Yan Gomes hit a groundball down the left field line to score Austin Jackson and give the Indians a comeback victory and 2-0 series lead.

An awesome comeback for the Indians, and a heartbreaking loss for the Yankees. Beating this juggernaut Indians team three straight times will be one hell of a challenge.
