New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton is known for hitting highly impressive dingers, but a home run he hit on Tuesday night is certainly one of his most incredible. That’s especially the case when you consider that it came against a terrific pitcher in the Tampa Bay Rays’ Tyler Glasnow, and when you consider that it’s a postseason game.
In the top of the fourth inning, the Yankees trailed the Rays 5-1 when Stanton stepped to the plate. And then he sent a Tyler Glasnow offering damn near out of Petco Park (home of the San Diego Padres) for a three-run homer.
Statcast tracked this blast at 458 feet, but that seems far too low. The 118 mph exit velocity sounds about right, at least. See this unbelievable bomb for yourself:

Oh, and that was actually Stanton’s second homer of the game; he hit this opposite-field laser to tie the game in the second inning:
Stanton only played in 41 regular-season games over the last two seasons with the Yankees, but he’s healthy now- and that’s a huge reason their lineup is currently so terrifying.
