The first game of their National League Division Series against the Washington Nationals went quite well for the Los Angeles Dodgers. On Thursday, the Dodgers came out with a 6-0 home win over the Nationals. A key part of that came from the impressive start they got from 25-year-old second-year pitcher Walker Buehler (seen above), who threw six innings of one-hit ball with eight strikeouts, three walks and 100 pitches. And that included a lot of remarkable pitches:
Meanwhile, the Dodgers’ first run came when Cardinals’ starter Patrick Corbin walked the bases loaded and then walked in a run. After that, Max Muncy drove in a run on a Howie Kendrick fielding error in the fourth, and then drove in two more on a single in the bottom of the seventh. And beyond that, Gavin Lux and Joc Pederson hit solo home runs in the eighth. That helped seal a 6-0 win for the Dodgers.
