Olympian Alysa Liu continues to reshape figure skating in her image following her impressive showing in the 2026 Winter Games in Milan, where she won gold medals in the women’s individual singles event and one in the figure skating team event.
Now, ahead of the Met Gala, the American figure skater of Chinese descent, who has been unflinching in her advocacy and playful personality, making her extremely relatable to young fans, has been named as a brand ambassador for Louis Vuiton.
“Alysa Liu embodies the modern Louis Vuitton woman — confident, creative, and utterly fearless. Her dynamic energy and individuality resonate with the house’s spirit, and she inspires us all to embrace audacity in every form,” the artistic director of women’s collections at LV, Nicolas Ghesquière, said in a statement, via Women’s Wear Daily.
Liu, 20, wore a series of denim outfits in her first images with the fashion powerhouse.
“Stepping into this new chapter as a Louis Vuitton ambassador is an honor and a privilege, especially for a figure skater to be recognized in this way, and I take so much pride in that,” Liu said of the new chapter.
“Life is all about connection, and Louis Vuitton has made me feel included. It’s a really empowering feeling to be part of something so artistic.”
Liu is joining a list of world-class athletes such as Carlos Alcaraz, Victor Wembanyama, and skater Yuto Horigome at LV.
