Sometimes, you never know how a golfer will react when they’re patrolling the links. Everyone learned that again on Thursday.

At The Masters on Thursday, Round 1 commenced. In one of the most competitive tournaments of the year, you’re bound to see some emotion let off on the golf course. Enter: English golfer Tyrrell Hatton.

Hatton ranks as one of the best golfers in the world. Going into the big weekend at Augusta National, he ranked 17th on the active World Golf Rankings list. The 31-year-old hasn’t finished higher than 5th place at a Major since 2016, but he made plenty of headlines Thursday.

After holing in a par on hole 15, Hatton picked up his ball and went on his way. Along the way, a bird was flipped over.

Hatton could be visibly seen telling the 15th hole how he really thinks of it.

It had been an easygoing day for Hatton on the golf course. But easygoing clearly wasn’t enough as even through two birdies and a number of pars, his -1 score sits him 26th on the leaderboard.

And obviously, he was not super thrilled about what happened on Hole 15 at all.

As the photo went viral, several took to Twitter to express camaraderie with Hatton. As many put it, “I’ve been there” was a common theme in response.
