After quite some time away from the golf course, Tiger Woods has returned to action this week at the Genesis Invitational at The Riviera Country Club in Ormond Beach, Florida. And despite some slight injury concerns, it appears he’s feeling good, swinging with no apparent discomfort and posting a stellar first-round score. And he almost made the golf world go crazy on Friday morning.
During his second round on Friday morning, Tiger Woods unleashed an unbelievable shot on hole No. 14 at the tournament. Not only did the ball land perfectly and delicately on the green, but it also rolled right to the hole. For a moment, it appeared the Woods was headed toward a rare hole-in-one on the par-3. But unfortunately for Tiger, the ball stopped about 10 inches shy of the cup.
It was very nearly an absolutely electric moment in Tiger’s return to the golf course, but it was still an incredible shot nonetheless. As a result, the golf world had plenty to say about it on social media as the shot went totally viral.
It may not have been an ace for Tiger, but it still set him up for an easy birdie to add to his stellar performance at the tournament.
