Live sports are slowly coming back amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and Sunday brought the return of live televised golf. The TaylorMade Driving Relief charity skins match was shown on NBC (with a few avoidable decisions), but without spectators at the Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, FL.
On the 11th hole, Rickie Fowler drained a long putt to win the skin, and pretended that he had crowd applause to acknowledge.
“Did you hear all those cheers? I gotta press play on my speaker.”
Despite Fowler’s impressive putt, Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson beat Matthew Wolff and Fowler to win the charity match.
