NFL Network’s Sara Walsh did not pull any punches when she went on an epic rant against golf during Good Morning Football.
On Wednesday’s edition of the show, Walsh made a strong argument against golfing, specifically in terms of how long it takes to play and how men tend to use it to get away from women.
“You know what takes less time than a round of golf?” Walsh asked. “Practically any other sport. You can watch a basketball game, a soccer game, a hockey game, most Sundays, a football game. You can run a marathon in less time than it takes for you and your boys to play a round. It takes the international space station 90 minutes to orbit around the Earth. It takes you 90 minutes to shoot six over through the first six holes.”
Hunter Mahan, who plays on the PGA Tour, had a good laugh about the commentary and shared his thoughts on Twitter.
“This was poetry. Amazing,” he tweeted.
In other words, “Where’s the lie.”
It’s good to have a sense of humor about the whole situation. You get the sense that perhaps Mahan has some experience on the matter. And perhaps he and other golfers will keep these criticisms in mind when they want to slow down their play on a Sunday.
