Pro golfer Will Wilcox certainly isn’t a household name compared to most golfers on tour. Currently sitting at No. 134 on the official golf world ranking, his name certainly won’t ring a lot of bells.

But Friday, Wilcox had his shining moment on the course when he nailed a hole-in-one on the vaunted 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass during the Players Championship. After nailing the ace on the hole’s “Island Green,” Wilcox’s reaction is just as exciting, if not more so, than his historic tee shot.

The shot marks the first hole-in-one on his particular hole of TPC Sawgrass in 14 years, with the last coming in 2002. In fact, the chances of getting an ace on the 17th are far, few, and in between. It took a combined 6,300 efforts off of the tee box between then and now for a hole-in-one to occur again.

Hitting a hole-in-one is enough of an accomplishment, but when you do it on the 17th of TPC Sawgrass, proper on-course celebrations are necessary. And from the looks of it, Wilcox nailed that down too.
