Former American president Donald Trump is facing 91 felony counts in four jurisdictions across the country. But that’s apparently not keeping him away from the sport of golf, which he has enjoyed throughout his entire professional life, including the presidency.
Trump took to Truth Social on Saturday to declare, without evidence, that he had won the Senior Club Championship at Bedminster Trump National Golf Club with an eye-popping score of 67 on the round.
“I am pleased to report, for those that care, that I just won the Senior Club Championship (must be over 50 years old!) at Bedminster (Trump National Golf Club), shooting a round of 67,” Trump posted. “Now, some people will think that sounds low, but there is no hanky/lanky. Many people watch, plus I am surrounded by Secret Service Agents. Not much you can do even if you wanted to, and I don’t.”
Trump went on to note in closing that “For some reason, I am just a good golfer/athlete – I have won many Club Championships, and it is always a great honor!”
In January, Trump also claimed to win the Senior Club Championship at Doral Trump National in Miami, Florida, despite not playing in the first round of the tournament.
The world was quick to react to Trump’s wild claim:
The percentage of golfers that break par in their lifetime is about 0.5% of all golfers.https://t.co/Yep8Zr1Zcv
