Despite losing to the Tennessee Volunteers Saturday night 41-20, that didn’t stop South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback Spencer Rattler from trolling the Vols and their fans.
Rattler said this game and the victory was the Vols Super Bowl and he seems to revel in the hate of the Tennessee fan base.
“If you ain’t got haters, you ain’t popping,” and then added later, “It’s like their Super Bowl tonight, so congrats to them.”
Last year, the Gamecocks destroyed the Vols’ chances of reaching the College Football Playoff with a huge victory in Columbia so the Vols definitely were seeking revenge Saturday.
Rattler didn’t have his best game against the Vols. He was sacked three times against the Vols’ defense and threw a pick-six that allowed Tennessee to take a larger lead going into halftime.
If you asked most Vol fans, they would probably tell you that South Carolina is not even close to being a top rival as the Alabama Crimson Tide or Georgia Bulldogs is.
In fact, most Vol fans were amused by Rattler’s comments and they even trolled him about it.
Wanting revenge and thinking that was our biggest game of the year are two very different things…

Outside of maybe the Vols or even Georgia, the Gamecocks really don’t have a natural rival within the SEC, so this game and maybe the Georgia game will be the start of a long-lasting rival between the two schools.
