After an embarrassing loss last week to the Alabama Crimson Tide, many didn’t give the Ole Miss Rebels a chance against the LSU Tigers on Saturday. But they underestimated Lane Kiffin’s team. The Rebels boun ced back in a huge way, defeating the No. 13 Tigers, 55-49, all but ending LSU’s chances of making the College Football Playoff.
The two schools combined had over 1,300 yards in total offense, something that two SEC schools haven’t done in about 20 years. Also, it had been a while since the Rebels defeated the Tigers. so Saturday was a big deal.
This was also one of the few times in Lane Kiffin’s career that he had a signature win against one of his rivals, so, naturally, Rebel fans took to the field after the game to celebrate, and that’s when things kind of got out of hand.
Fans stormed the field to celebrate as security tried to control the crowd, and let’s just say it didn’t help. There is a video that went viral of an Ole Miss security trying to stop students from storming the field. Some thought it was funny, while others thought the security guard was out of control, particularly after he was seen punching a young lady to the ground.
Fans had their own take on what they witnessed.
Although fans aren’t supposed to be on the field, you have to wonder if this guy will be punished for what he did to that young lady.
