After a bit of a rocky start to the season, the Alabama Crimson Tide seem to have turned things around and gotten things figured out.

Currently sitting at No. 11 in the AP Poll, Alabama has won five straight games following their Week 2 loss to Texas and head into this weekend’s showdown with No. 17 Tennessee at 6-1 on the season.

During his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Alabama head coach Nick Saban had nothing but positive things to say about his team and how far they’ve come.

“I’m very pleased with the way this team has developed,” Saban said. “We still have lots of room to grow, and that’s something we’re embracing the challenge on. I love coaching this team,” the legendary head coach concluded.

Saban is just five wins away from joining Bear Bryant as the only head coach in Alabama history with 200 wins at the program, and just 29 wins from tying Bryant (224) for the most wins in school history. There have been rumors of his retirement this season, but that has been the case for many of the past few years. Saban, for what its worth, categorically denied the rumors as he has done in the past.

If the Tide do not win the national championship this year, it would mark the first three-year stretch under Saban where the team failed the capture the nation’s top title.
