The Michigan Wolverines suffered a tough defeat on the road at the hands of the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday night. Bryce Underwood, Michigan’s true freshman starting quarterback and the number one overall recruit in his class, showed his inexperience in the game.
To add insult to injury, the Wolverines are now being forced to try and bounce back without their head coach, Sherrone Moore, according to one prominent college football insider.
“U-M Associate Head Coach Biff Poggi will serve as Michigan football’s interim head coach during Sherrone Moore’s suspension,” reported Alejandro Zuniga on Monday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“What has happened to this program?” one fan wanted to know on Twitter.
“This has been a glorious Monday. The Michigan faithful fighting amongst each other about if they will win 8 games. One of their big boosters is on a national platform, saying Sheronne Moore doesn’t have any balls. They named Biff Poggi HC while Moore is suspended,” an Ohio State fan added.
“Biff is the best thing to hear today. That’s the exact move he should have made. Let the coordinators focus on their groups and let Biff handle the management of the team,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Wolverines do in Moore’s absence.
