Marvin Harrison Jr. is only a sophomore, so the Ohio State Buckeyes star wide receiver won’t be eligible for the NFL Draft until 2024.

Some NFL fans watching him light up the Georgia Bulldogs in the Peach Bowl Saturday night are already pleading for their team to find a way to land the talented receiver.

Harrison Jr. entered the game as arguably the best wide receiver in college football. He’s got gaudy statistics (72 catches, 1,157 yards and 12 touchdowns) and great family ties (father Marvin Harrison had a Hall of Fame career as a wide receiver with the Indianapolis Colts).

Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt told the Columbus Dispatch in November that Harrison is the best non-quarterback he’s covered in his career.

So Harrison Jr., a unanimous All-American this year, was already looking like he’ll be the first receiver off the board in the 2024 NFL Draft. His performance in the CFP Semifinal Saturday definitely added to his growing legacy. In the first half alone, he made two great touchdown catches on passes from quarterback C.J. Stroud.

The young receiver has had more spectacular catches in his career, but not on such a huge stage.

NFL fans watching Harrison destroy the Bulldogs could not wait for 2024 when their team gets a chance to draft the young star.

Boston Herald Patriots beat reporter Andrew Callahan tweeted a fun scenario: “The Chicago Bears have traded the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft to the New England Patriots. With the second pick, the New England Patriots select … Marvin Harrison Jr., wide receiver, Ohio State.”

“I would do unspeakable things to have Marvin Harrison Jr. in a Browns uniform,” tweeted Nick Karns.

“I’ve said I would take Marvin Harrison Jr. 1st overall in the 2024 NFL Draft or if he was eligible in 2023!” tweeted Van. “He is the best WR prospect I’ve seen in a long time!”

“Is it weird that I’m fantasizing about seeing Marvin Harrison Jr. in a Titans uniform?” tweeted Jim Bratton.

“NFL needs to change the draft rules. Marvin Harrison Jr. should be eligible for the draft. No doubt about that,” tweeted Billy Siemers.

“In the 2024 NFL Draft one team is going to use a top 5 pick on future HOFer Marvin Harrison Jr.,” tweeted one fan.
