When head coach Lincoln Riley became the head coach of the USC Trojans and ultimately brought former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Caleb Williams with him to USC, former USC quarterback Kedon Slovis entered the transfer portal and ultimately landed with the Pittsburgh Panthers. And now, the quarterback is on the move again.
On Saturday afternoon, Kedon Slovis announced that he will be transferring from Pittsburgh to join the BYU Cougars.
“I will always be grateful for Coach Narduzzi and the time I got to spend with all of my teammates at the University of Pittsburgh. I’m excited for this new chapter and can’t wait to get to work. #GoCougs,” Slovis said on Twitter, announcing his transfer destination.
Slovis was one of the most accomplished and experienced quarterbacks in the transfer portal this season. Throughout his four seasons in college football, Slovis has thrown for over 9,973 yards and has a career completion percentage of 65.9 with 68 touchdowns and 33 interceptions.
While Slovis showed off plenty of potential early in his career at USC, last season was statistically the worst season of his career as he completed just 58.4 percent of his passes and threw for just 10 touchdowns compared to nine interceptions. He’ll certainly hope to bounce back at BYU.
