Alabama has lost another player to the NFL Draft. Linebacker Henry To’o To’o announced that he will be leaving Tuscaloosa for the NFL.
To’o To’o made his announcement on social media.
“I am excited to announce that I will be pursuing my lifelong dream of playing in the NFL by declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft,” To’o To’o said on Instagram.
To’o To’o was a transfer from Tennessee who started on defense for the Crimson Tide for the last two years. He was second on the team this past year with 94 tackles and eight tackles for loss.
To’o To’o was a force for the Tide at linebacker along with Will Anderson. The Tide has now lost To’o To’o , Anderson Jr., Brian Branch, Jordan Battle, DJ Dale, Byron Young, Jaylen Moody, DeMarco Hellams, and Eli Ricks to next year’s draft.
With the losses on defense, Alabama will have several holes to fill on that side of the ball compared to the offensive side of the ball. Both Bryce Young and running back Jahmyr Gibbs also announced they would be leaving for the NFL after their Sugar Bowl win over Kansas State, but most of the offense will be returning next year.
It will be interesting to see who will fill those holes on the defensive and offensive side for them next season.
