The 2023 college football recruiting class is largely decided already. However, top tight end recruit Duce Robinson was one notable player who hasn’t yet made his commitment decision. That finally came on Thursday after months of anticipation.
The top tight end recruit took to social media on Thursday night, posting a video that details his athletic career as a multi-sport in high school.
He details in the video that he is finally being asked to pick both a sport and a school that he would like to play at the next level. At the end of the video, he ultimately reveals at the end of the video that he will be playing football for the USC Trojans next season.
“People have always wanted me to pick,” said Duce Robinson. “Pick a sport, pick a lane, pick a path. But now, I finally do need to pick. I’m thankful to all the coaches who allowed me to patiently consider all of my options. And I am even more thankful that I still get to just play. I will continue to play at the University of Southern California.”
Robinson is ranked No. 17 overall in the 2023 recruiting class by 247 Sports. He was deciding between five schools including Georgia, Alabama, Arizona, Texas, and USC.
Robinson’s commitment to USC adds to what is already an extremely impressive recruiting class for the Trojans which includes top wide receiver recruit Zachariah Branch and No. 5 quarterback recruit Malachi Nelson.
