Despite a scare the last couple of weeks to a pair of teams in the top 4, nothing has changed at the top of ESPN’s College Football Playoff poll but positioning. After Alabama struggled with Texas A&M Saturday night, it dropped from No. 1 in many people’s polls to No. 3.
All of the ESPN experts polled feel that Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and Clemson will make the playoffs.
The other three teams receiving one vote each were Michigan, USC and Oregon.
Two more teams on the outside looking in are Oklahoma State and Tennessee. If the Vols can take down Alabama next weekend, they will more than likely jump into the top 4. The Vols (5-0) haven’t beaten the Tide in 16 years (or since Nick Saban arrived) and this might be their best chance yet to do so.
Oklahoma State along with TCU sits alone on top of the Big 12. OSU got a scare from Texas Tech but remains undefeated.
Here are the top 4 teams according to 14 ESPN college football analysts and the order they think each team should be in.
