After getting off to a hot start this season, there has been lots of talk about Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes, especially when it comes to whether or not Coach Prime might leave for another program.
Sanders has already improved on the Buffs’ record from last year with a 3-0 start going into their Saturday contest against the Oregon Ducks. A win in Eugene will kickstart rumors again that Sanders could be moving on to a bigger coaching job sooner than later.
However, one former Colorado star, Chad Brown, thinks Sanders is here to stay. For now.
“As this season has gone along,” Brown said, “with the amount of interest that has come to Colorado, and the elevation of the Colorado program, I think the number of schools that he would leave for becomes smaller and smaller and smaller.”
Brown thinks the only way Sanders would leave is if blue bloods like Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan, or even Florida State calls. All these teams, however, are ranked in the top 25, so they won’t be calling anytime soon.
Colorado fans probably know already that Sanders will be a wanted man. If and when a spot opens up at a blue-blood school, a lot of people will be wondering whether or not Coach Prime will take the call.
