Many pundits and fans speculated that Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders would leave the program following the departure of his sons, Shilo and Shedeur, to the ranks of the NFL.

However, Sanders remained steadfast in his commitment to the young men in the program. However, Sanders was forced to take some time away from the program after a health scare. Now, Sanders is sharing exactly what transpired and forced him away from the team.

“Colorado HC Deion Sanders has been dealing with bladder cancer and has had his bladder removed, his doctors said. He is now cured of his cancer,” reported Jordan Schultz on Monday.

Fans reacted to the shocking news on social media.

“And people been lying about him leaving all week,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Cancer absolutely sucks. Glad to hear Prime is free of it,” someone else added.

Get well soon coach! (Deion Sanders) we need you here! Whole world love you and the way you love the players. I’m rocking with Coach Prime (for life),” one fan added.

It’s great to hear that Sanders has beaten cancer and won’t be forced to step away from the program, where he has had such a positive effect on so many young men.
