Former Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Dylan Raiola gained the wrong some of attention for the lengths to which he would emulate his idol, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. From his jersey number to his pregame routine to his on-field celebrations, many felt that Raiola had taken things too far, to the point where it bordered on weird.
After two dissapointing seasons with the Cornhuskers, Raiola made the decision to enter the transfer portal for a fresh start. Raiola landed with the Oregon Ducks, presumably expecting star Ducks quarterback Dante Moore to declare for the NFL draft, which would have paved the way for Raiola to take over as the starter.
The move, it seems, has backfired, as Moore is returning to campus, per one prominent NFL insider.
“Oregon quarterback Dante Moore said he has decided to return to school for the 2026 season, forgoing a chance to be a top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. His decision is expected to have significant ramifications on the draft,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.
Fans joked about the development on social media.

“Obviously I’m not Dante Moore but this feels like a massive mistake on his part. He’d surely go #2 so he’s leaving tons of money on the table. He’s going to have to ball out now to 1) keep his draft status where it is and 2) hold off Dylan Raiola. All while staying healthy too,” somenoe else added.
“Is Dylan Raiola going back to the portal? Jets fans are in a brutal spot- Dante Moore going back to Oregon just to avoid being a Jet,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see what Raiola does from here.
