It hasn’t been a great season for the Vanderbilt Commodores as the team entered Saturday’s game against he Missouri Tigers with just three wins on the season and had not won a single win against an SEC opponent, losing its first three SEC games by a combined score of 162 to 31. Even though the team didn’t help its record on Saturday, they did at least have one incredible highlight play.

During the third quarter of Saturday afternoon’s game, Vanderbilt Commodores hybrid linebacker/safety CJ Taylor made what was without doubt the play of the game. As he rushed the Missouri quarterback, Taylor jumped over the running back attempting to block him and knocked the ball right out of the hands of Missouri quarterback Brady Cook.

Taylor didn’t stop there, however. He also recovered the ball for a Vanderbilt touchdown, notching the sack, the forced fumble, the recovery, and the touchdown all after hurdling his blocker.

It was an absolutely insane play that gave Vanderbilt its first touchdown of the game, and the college football world had plenty to say about it on Saturday afternoon.

Despite the amazing play, Vanderbilt was unable to do much on the offensive side of the ball. As a result, the team fell to the Tigers by a score of 17-14.
