Shortly after the conclusion of the regular season, the Michigan Wolverines football program found itself embroiled in yet another controversy. The University fired head coach Sherrone Moore due to an ‘inappropriate relationship with a staff member.’”
Michigan has since hired former Utah Utes head coach Kyle Whittingham as Moore’s replacement. Many of the assistants under Moore have departed the program for new opportunities.
One such assistant, former linebacker coach and defensive run game coordinator Brian Jean-Mary, has landed on Marcus Freeman’s staff with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
“He the worse recruiter ever but i see nd doesn’t need help recruiting lbs so good hire,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Michigan’s defense been their only saving grace the past couple seasons. I’d gladly take any coach from their staff on the defensive side of the ball. I look forward to possibly seeing this come to fruition,” someone else added.
“Man F that man. Nobody owns commitment anymore. College football needs new guidelines with higher buyouts for coaches and players,” one fan added.
“Michigan has had some really good linebackers the last few seasons, including Ernest Hausmann and Jaishawn Barham. Cole Sullivan was a breakout star this season,” another person noted.
It’ll be interesting to see how the move pans out for the Fighting Irish.
