Big news out of Oxford Mississippi. Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins has entered the transfer portal according to Matt Zentiz. It comes as a shock to many because the two-time first-team All-SEC running back was the feature back in the Ole Miss offense these past two seasons.
The SEC Freshman of the Year in 2022 has rushed for over 2700 yards and 34 touchdowns in his two years in Oxford.
Judkins, who is originally from Montgomery, Alabama, was barely recruited by either the Alabama Crimson Tide or the Auburn Tigers out of high school, but there’s a chance he could find his way back to one of his hometown schools now.
The Rebels and head coach Lane Kiffin have brought in several players via the transfer portal grabbing players such as defensive tackle Walter Nolen (Texas A&M), wide receiver Juice Wells (South Carolina), edge rushers Tyler Baron (Tennessee) and Princely Umanmielen (Florida) and defensive backs Decamerion Richardson (Mississippi State) and linebacker Chris Paul (Arkansas).
The team also just came off their best season in school history going 11-2 after defeating Penn State in the Peach Bowl. There has been no word yet from either Kiffin or Judkins regarding why he is choosing to leave the program.
