During Saturday night’s game between the LSU Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU star quarterback Jayden Daniels was knocked out of the game with a concussion on a controversial hit. And now, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe is addressing the situation.

During his press conference this week, Jalen Milroe was asked about the hit that knocked Jayden Daniels out of the game, and he seemed to downplay the hit, saying “that’s football.”

“Well, football is made to be physical,” Jalen Milroe said according to On3. “Shoot, I got hit a couple of times, looked at the ref like, ‘You ain’t gonna call nothing?’ So, that’s football. You’ve got to get up, you know what I’m saying, [and] you’ve got to look at the next play because I’m glad that wasn’t me on the field. I’ll tell you that.”

Even though Daniels was hit in the head and suffered a concussion as a result of the hit, Alabama pass rusher Dallas Turner was not flagged for either rushing the passer or targeting.

With Daniels out of the game, the LSU offense sputtered and Alabama was able to take command of the game and come away with a victory to keep their national title hopes alive.
