Since the LSU Tigers won the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship on Sunday afternoon, the talk has been less about their win and more about the politics around it. Angel Reese and a few of her LSU teammates let it be known they have no interest in visiting the White House after First Lady Jill Biden said she wanted the Iowa Hawkeyes to visit too. Despite all the chatter, LSU pumped the brakes on the idea they wouldn’t attend.
According to TMZ, the school said they would “certainly” accept an invitation from the White House if one were offered. “In fact, according to a university spokesperson, the Tigers would be ‘excited’ to continue the celebration of their women’s NCAA tournament title at 1600 Penn Ave. later this year,” TMZ wrote.
Initially, The First Lady’s comments didn’t sit well with Reese, instead, she said she’d rather visit the Obamas than the Bidens.
