Since the Alabama basketball team’s season ended in the Sweet 16 against San Diego State, the Tide has lost several players to either the NBA Draft or the transfer portal.
The latest to enter the transfer portal is Jaden Bradley. The freshman played in 37 games for the Tide and started most of the year, but was replaced by Jahvon Quinerly when he struggled down the stretch.
Bradley averaged 6.4 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game but hit only 40 percent of his shots. A five-star coming out of high school, his potential will be missed.
“UA loses an elite penetration/ kick-out guy and Bradley’s losing an ideal place to develop the 3-point shot that’s the next step for his game,” said Tuscaloosa News sports columnist Chase Goodbread.
Alabama has lost the majority of their 2022 SEC Championship squad, although the feeling is some players who put their names in the draft, like Quinerly and Charles Bediako, will return if they aren’t seeing high demand.
Forward Brandon Miller has already been projected as the first college player to be taken in the draft at the number two spot. Noah Clowney has also been projected to go in the first round as well.
However it goes, it will be a tough task for Nate Oats to replace all this talent.
